Support the promotions you work with. Fighters and staff!!!

by John Yeubanks on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 10:23pm

I think if you are involved with a show you should promote it to the best of your ability. That means staff and fighters. Fighters you should be telling everyone you know that your fighting. Build a fan base, market yourselves online. There is no reason why you can not get at least 5 people to come and watch you. These shows are expensive, Promoters enjoy giving you a great platform to showcase your talent but you have to get involved to help the show be a success. No promoter enjoys to loosing money.  Take pride in trying to bring the best cheering section you can.

Staff blast the shows you are working for online. Promote the shows that help make you money. That means Reffs, Judges, Announcers, ring girls!!! Everyone should be doing there part to get the word out about shows. People should  invest a small amount of time to make show night be as packed and electrifying as possible.

There is only one way to make shows successful and that's if everyone involved with that show helps put the word out.

Just a thought I had. I ll bet every promoter out there would agree weather they admit it or not.

WXC Flawless Won’t Disappoint

Beth Ann Trent

The card is confirmed, the stage is set, and the fighters are amped for WXC Flawless. The event will take place on February 26, 2011 at the Gibraltar Trade Center in Taylor Michigan. In preparation for the event, 3D Fitness hosted WXC officials and the event’s competitors to conduct interviews in preparation for their fights.

Spectators should expect an exciting night as Rob Durham (9/2) and Rob Taylor (12/2) battle it out both eager to take home the title of Amateur World Heavy Weight Champion. Also, the Light Weight Champion will be determined after what we expect to be a hard fought battle between Deven Brown (10/0) and Kyle Lingg (9/0) since both competitors will be defending their undefeated records. In addition, Jesse Bazzi (4/2) will square off against Michael Jordan (6/3) for the flyweight championship. Unfortunately, the Squire-Townsend and Conradson - Abdullah match has been postponed to the March 19, 2011 WXC event. Despite this delay, Born Fighter is confident that, with such an exciting card, WXC Flawless will be an incredible show.

The match up that I am very interested to see is the Amateur World Ladies Championship between WXC new comer and undefeated Katie “Deuce…Deuce” Dehle and Current Ladies Champion Tasha “Bad Mama Jama” Moore. Those two ladies are going to be in my book, the one to watch!

Aside from the main events, the undercard for this event offers spectators the chance to see many promising fighters who are eager to fight and sure to entertain. Born Fighter spoke with some of these competitors to talk about their expectations for the event.

Gene “Big Country” Romanowski (2/0) is coming off of a first round victory against George “Of the Jungle” Snedden. In his last event, Romanowski devastated Snedden delivering countless unrestrained blows to Snedden’s head resulting in the match being called in Romansowski’s favor. Since then, Romanowski has worked to improve his both his freestyle and ground fighting skills. Romanowski says he feels great about the upcoming event and he is confident he will add another win to his record.

Josh Tipsword (5/5) will be competing against Tyler Pitock in the 185 weight class. Tipsword’s last fight started rough with a display of poor sportsmanship by his opponent, Miguel Garcia, who ambushed Tipsword rather than engaging in the customary touching of gloves to initiate the fight. However, Tipsword managed to catch Garcia in a triangle hold ending the fight by tap out just before the first round bell. Tipsword has trained in Muay Thai, boxing, and recently began training in Jiu-Jitsu to improve his ground fighting skills. Tipsword describes his opponent as sloppy and is optimistic that he will be victorious at WXC Flawless.

Brad Hinderer (2/3) will battle George “Of the Jungle” Snedden who is the current NATO
Super Heavy Weight Champion. This will not be the first time these two fighters have gone glove to glove though their last match resulted in Hinderer overpowering Snedden and taking the win. Since their last match, Hinderer has worked to improve his ground skills anticipating another victory. Conversely, the determined and effervescence Snedden is equally confident in his abilities and looking forward to their rematch.

Born Fighter also had to the pleasure of speaking with upcoming fighters Antonio Gonzales, Kyle Millimen, Hunter Snodgrass, and Chayn Poole. All expressed excitement and confidence for the upcoming event and we look forward to seeing them in the Hexagon!
